Refund policy
Buto is free to explore, with a monthly Member subscription ($9.99/month) and a cheaper Portfolio plan ($2.99/month) that only keeps your public portfolio online. Here’s how cancelling and refunds work.
Free account
- Your free account needs no payment details and never turns into a charge on its own: you’re only charged if you choose to subscribe.
Cancelling
- Cancel any time in Plan & billing → Manage billing. It takes a few clicks, the same as subscribing.
- After cancelling you won’t be charged again, and you keep access until the end of the month you already paid for.
- Switching between Member and Portfolio is prorated by Stripe: moving up charges only the difference for the rest of the month, and moving down credits the unused part to your next invoice.
- When a paid plan ends, your public portfolio stays online for 30 more days, then pauses until you subscribe again. Nothing is deleted.
Refunds
- We don’t refund part-used months when you cancel, because access continues until the end of the period.
- We will refund in full if we charged you by mistake: for example a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a charge you didn’t agree to. Email info.webuildtogether@gmail.com within 30 days of the charge.
- If Buto is unavailable for a long stretch because of a problem on our side, contact us and we’ll make it right.
- If we close your account, we cancel your subscription straight away and refund your most recent payment to the card you paid with. Banks usually show it within 5 to 10 business days.
- This policy doesn’t limit any refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer protection law where you live.
Someone asked you to pay?
The only way to pay Buto is the Subscribe button on the Plan & billing page, which opens Stripe’s secure checkout. Teammates should never ask you to pay to join a project. If anyone asks you for money in the name of Buto, please report it in the app or email info.webuildtogether@gmail.com.
